Congratulations to Dr. Victor Gonzalez!! Texas Governor Rick Perry has reappointed Dr. Gonzalez to the Texas Diabetes Council. His experience in the field has made him an invaluable member of the council.

Dr. Gonzalez is also recognized by The Retina Society, National Board of Medical Examiners, Texas Ophthalmology Association, The American Board of Ophthalmology, and the Pan American Association of Ophthalmology.

In March 23, 1995, The Monitor published an article on Dr. Gonzalez's lecture to the community on cornea transplants at the South Texas Organ Bank, Inc. Symposium '95.

Also, he was recognized for his help to Harlingen residents in an article titled, Eye for an Eye: Lion's Eye Bank helps needy to see.
